The Ladder

Seven rungs. Most marketing stops at two.

Every marketing budget is measured on the same ladder – from visibility to owned data. Logos and boards get you the first two rungs. The rungs that build loyalty, advocacy and first-party data need something you can’t buy: a moment, and a reason to share it.

For every euro brands spend on rights, only about €0.80 goes to activation — and just 18% reach a 1:1 ratio. The budget that exists mostly buys formats that stop at rung two. — WFA / Lumency.

The Amplifier

The amplifier that opens the community.

There are three ways into a community's conversation. Buy ads — and you interrupt it. Post yourself — and you reach the followers you already have. Or give something the community actually wants: access it has to earn. Only the third door opens from the inside.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know about TREKZ, our model, and how we build experiences.

What is brand activation — and how is it different from sponsorship?

Brand activation turns brand assets and audience access into real experiences that build a relationship — not just visibility. Sponsorship gets your logo seen; activation is what you do with that access to make it matter. TREKZ is the experience-design partner for brand and sponsorship activation: we turn access rights and brand equity into money-can't-buy experiences, designed end-to-end and delivered under your brand.

What does TREKZ actually do?

TREKZ designs and operates money-can't-buy brand experiences — white-label, end to end. One product, six parts: (1) the access — players, artists, officials, the arena before tip-off, the stage before doors; (2) the experience design; (3) the creator activation; (4) the fulfillment — flights, hotels, transfers, tickets, plus legal cover and customer-money protection; (5) on-site delivery with German-speaking hosts; (6) an impact report after every experience. You sign off on brand — the machine is ours.

Who is TREKZ for?

TREKZ works with any brand or rights holder that owns access people can't buy their way into — sports federations, media companies, festivals, live-entertainment companies, and the sponsors backing them. If you hold rights, an audience, or brand equity and want to turn it into an experience under your own brand, TREKZ is built for you.

What is the marketing ladder, and what are the seven rungs?

Every marketing budget is measured on the same ladder — from visibility at the bottom to owned first-party data at the top. The seven rungs are: (1) Reach & visibility, (2) Image transfer, (3) Precise audience reach, (4) Engagement & interaction, (5) Emotional loyalty, (6) Advocacy, (7) First-party data & community. Classic sponsorship (logos and boards) reaches rungs 1–2. A designed experience takes you to rung 5; adding the creator amplifier takes you to rung 7. Most marketing stops at rung two.

How much of a sponsorship budget actually reaches activation?

For every euro brands spend on sponsorship rights, only about €0.80 goes to activation — and just 18% of programs reach a 1:1 ratio between rights and activation (source: WFA / Lumency). Most of the budget that exists buys formats that stop at visibility.

Which brands and rights holders has TREKZ worked with?

TREKZ has delivered programs with the Deutscher Basketball Bund, Deutsche Telekom, FUNKE Medien Gruppe, PROLON and Best Western Hotels. We are active across 9 countries — Germany, USA, UK, France, Italy, Finland, Latvia, Qatar and Japan — with 10+ active partner programs, and every experience runs 100% white-label, under the partner's brand, with no co-branding or conflicts.

What exactly do I buy — and how do Home Court and Full Court differ?

You buy one product in six parts (see Q2), delivered as one of two formats — and you can run one or both. Home Court (ladder rungs 3–5) is the experience activation: the complete money-can't-buy experience for your guests, as an incentive, for loyalty or as a prize — and it plays in your own channels and earned media. Full Court (rungs 3–7) adds the creator campaign around the same experience — the amplifier that takes you out of your own channels and into the community, across creator networks and social; one brand per category. Home court is your half of the floor; full court is the whole floor — your channels and the creators'.

How does the creator amplifier work?

The amplifier opens a community from the inside instead of interrupting it. Before (six to eight weeks out): a creator challenge runs, and every entry is a piece of content with your brand in it. During: the winners create on-site alongside your social team. After: the shared moments, the advocacy and the data stay with you — as long as the entry point sits on a property you own.

Who owns the participant data — and is the experience brand-safe?

You do — and the first-party data is collected on your own properties, not by TREKZ. Because the entry point sits on a platform you own, the data and the participant relationship stay with you from the start; TREKZ is not a data intermediary in that process, so the GDPR relationship stays cleanly on your side. Brand-safety guardrails for the creator campaign are defined together with you at the outset of each project.

How does an engagement start, and what's the commitment?

Every engagement begins with a pilot — a proof of concept before any rollout. We start with a short scoping conversation about the access you already hold and the moment you want to create, then design and run the pilot to prove the model. There's no long-term commitment required to begin: you scale only once the concept is proven.

Is this a one-off experience, or something you can repeat and scale?

TREKZ can deliver a standalone experience — but the goal is always repeatability. Wherever it makes sense, we design format blueprints with you: a proven, documented experience format you can roll out again and again across seasons, markets and audiences. The pilot proves the concept; the blueprint makes it repeatable — which is what turns a single activation into an efficient, scalable and profitable program, instead of one you rebuild and re-pay for each time.
