EU Standard Information Sheet for Package Travel (according to EU Directive 2015/2302)

The combination of travel services offered to you by TREKZ Travel Solutions GmbH (TREKZ) constitutes a package travel arrangement within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2015/2302.

Therefore, you are entitled to all EU rights applicable to package travel. TREKZ Travel Solutions GmbH (TREKZ) is fully responsible for the proper performance of the entire package travel.

Additionally, TREKZ Travel Solutions GmbH (TREKZ) has the legally required insolvency protection in place to secure the refund of your payments and, where transport is included as part of the package, to ensure your repatriation in the event of insolvency.

KEY RIGHTS UNDER DIRECTIVE (EU) 2015/2302:

  • Travellers will receive all essential information about the package before concluding the package travel contract.

  • At least one entrepreneur is liable for the proper performance of all travel services included in the contract.

  • Travellers will be provided with an emergency contact number or contact point through which they can communicate with the travel organiser or travel agent.

  • Travellers may transfer the package to another person within a reasonable notice period, subject to possible additional costs.

  • The package price may only be increased if specific costs (e.g., fuel prices) rise and this is explicitly stated in the contract. In any event, price increases are only permitted up to 20 days before the start of the package and must not exceed 8% of the total package price. If the price increase exceeds 8%, the Traveller may withdraw from the contract.

  • If a significant element of the package cannot be performed as agreed, an appropriate alternative service of equal quality must be offered without additional cost.

  • Travellers may withdraw from the contract without paying cancellation fees if extraordinary circumstances occur which significantly affect the performance of the package.

  • Travellers may also withdraw at any time before the start of the package upon payment of an appropriate and reasonable cancellation fee.

  • If, after the start of the package, substantial parts of the travel services cannot be performed as agreed, appropriate alternative arrangements must be offered. If this is not possible or if the Traveller rejects them, the Traveller is entitled to a price reduction.

  • Travellers are entitled to a price reduction and/or compensation if the travel services are not or not properly performed.

  • The organiser must provide assistance to travellers in difficulty.

  • In the event of insolvency of TREKZ, payments are secured. If insolvency occurs after the start of the package and transport is included, repatriation is guaranteed.
